<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;">Hello and happy and healthy new year!</span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;"></span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;">First, I'd like to inform everyone that this installation was done mainly for fun - it is not approved by Apple. Apple doesn't want users installing their operating system on a PC other than Mac... I know, right? But its OK for Apple to allow MS Windows to be installed on their hardware... </span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;">That is why <a href="http://www.blogger.com/www.psystar.com">PSYSTAR</a> introduced RebelEFI. A software based EFI emulator that enables any PC to install OSX onto. They claim that according to the Digital Rights Law, an end user has the right to install their <span style="color: #cc0000;">purchased OS disk</span> on any hardware.</span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;">So, if you want to do it the legal way, visit </span><span style="font-size: 85%;">www.psystar.com, download RebelEFI iso and follow to wiki. There's still some tweaks that are involved after installing the OS to enable drivers support.</span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;"><br />
</span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;">This guide is based on the information provided by Project OSx86. Lets begin: </span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;"></span></div><span style="font-size: 85%;"></span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;"></span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;">Based on my experience, I found an extremely easy and quick way to install OSx86 10.5.8 on the Samsung NC10 netbook, without extra programming and tweaks.</span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;">The only hardware modification is to swap the NC10's wireless adapter with the Apple's Airport Extreme miniPCI adapter (You can find the Airport Extreme N adapter for around $20 on eBay).</span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;">Another alternative is the </span><link href="file://localhost/Users/isaacsimchon/Library/Caches/TemporaryItems/msoclip/0/clip_filelist.xml" rel="File-List"></link><style>

Go into your folder and run the "MSi10.5.7UpgradeDriverPack_v1.5" file. (Although this program was intended for 10.5.7, it will work with the 10.5.8 as well). Select ALL (Even when it says "skip").</span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;">When the MSI Upgrade pack installation is complete it will prompt you to restart - YOU CAN NOW SAFELY RESTART - click Restart.</span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;"></span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;">Step 7: Finalizing the install.</span><span style="font-size: 85%;"> </span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;">Your system will restart normally but you will still need to modify 2 things:</span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;">1) About This Mac. </span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;">2) The sleep feature.</span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;"></span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;">Open your folder where you copied all the files to, and open the Paul's Wind utility pack folder.</span><span style="font-size: 85%;"> </span><span style="font-size: 85%;">Go to the utilities folder and run the "AboutThisMac.pkg".</span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;">It will not ask you to restart, but you will now see your system's information under the Apple menu.</span><span style="font-size: 85%;"> </span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;">Next copy the "SleepEnabler.kext" file into System/Library/Extensions and restart the computer.</span><span style="font-size: 85%;"> </span><span style="font-size: 85%;">That's it! You are done.</span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;">It is recommended to run the MSI Upgrade pack whenever there is a security update for 10.5.8. Just run the install after installing the update before restarting the OS. Just to be safe.</span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;">If for some reasons the audio is not working download and run this file (<a href="http://rapidshare.com/files/241114635/Full_Sound_10.5.7.pkg.zip" style="font-size: 12pt;" target="_blank">Full_Sound_10.5.7.pkg.zip</a>).</span><span style="font-family: trebuchet ms; font-size: 85%;"> </span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-family: trebuchet ms; font-size: 85%;"><br />
</span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-family: trebuchet ms; font-size: 85%;">Regarding Snow Leopard running on the Samsung NC10. I highly advise against it, simply because Apple has released this update to stop OSx86 installation on Netbooks. Upgrading to 10.6 and above will disable the video drivers, bluetooth and audio - It's not worth it. <br />
<br />
10.5.8 features everything you need in your netbook, and more. You will see you have full audio support including the audio jacks, full video support, LAN, and webcam. </span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;"></span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 85%;"><br />
</span></div><span style="font-family: trebuchet ms; font-size: 85%;">If you have any questions regarding this guide please leave a comment :-)</span><br />
